Seasons greetings and perhaps a belated best wishes to you for the Buddha’s Enlightenment (December 8^th in our tradition and many others).

I’m glad to say that we held our December residential retreat at the beginning of the month. It doesn’t make sense to me to say whether a retreat was good or not, but it was, as always, good. I appreciate the efforts of the people who participated and made the retreat what it was. Here are the dates for the 2026 Eden Rise residential retreats;

• May 20-24^th

• December 5-9^th

The weekday sittings (7.00am Tues-Fri), have developed into (short) morning service following after the meditation period. Whether you come in person or join online, you are welcome to stay and participate in the service or leave after the sitting period. Some details of the service may change a little depending if I’m alone in the temple or joined by someone else. Holding morning service will be the default, on occasion, the meeting may have to end after the sitting instead.

As of this week, the temple has adopted the 2023 OBC versions of scriptures and litanies. Copies of these are available to download from the Throssel Hole website or purchase in book form from the Abbey shop. I can also help with distributing electronic PDF copies or even basic print outs of individual writings if anyone asks me.
