Resident Teacher

P1010972 (1280x960)Rev. Master Myfanwy is the resident teacher, a female monastic, who was ordained in 1983 at Throssel Hole Buddhist Abbey, Northumberland where she trained until 2002. She is one of the second  generation of disciples in the Order of Buddhist Contemplatives, being a senior disciple of Rev. Master Daishin Morgan, Abbot of Throssel .

The first twenty years at Throssel after Rev Master Daishin become Abbot, saw the community building the Abbey, physically as well as spiritually. As she had trained as an artist Rev Master Myfanwy was one of the Iconographers of the Abbey as well as being the Guest Master for some years and then the Chief Cook.

In 2002 Rev Master Myfanwy was invited by the congregation in the South West to become the resident teacher, first setting up in a cabin in a garden in Starcross  for a year, before  the congregation invited her to move into Exeter and establish a Temple.

After thirteen years in central Exeter the Temple has now moved to near South Zeal on the edge of Dartmoor.
